Data Scientist
Alex has an atypical background guided by a keen interest in learning and a desire to understand complex systems. Initially trained in actuarial science, a field in which he completed his exams for the ACIA designation, he chose to pivot toward artificial intelligence by completing a Master’s in Computer Science at MILA (Université de Montréal). This choice was born of a conviction: AI is a transformative force whose thoughtful and ethical use has become essential.
His expertise was forged in the field through a variety of challenges: first within the analytical issues of the insurance sector, then in computer vision applied to precision agriculture, before finally dedicating himself to the field of quantitative finance. Self-taught by nature, he approaches each project with the determination of someone seeking not only a technical solution, but also a tangible and lasting impact.
Beyond algorithms, Alex finds his balance in movement and discipline. He divides his time between volleyball, soccer, and running several times a week. His analytical mind also carries over into his free time: whether deciphering the riddles of an escape room, exploring new flavours in the kitchen, or playing a few chords on the guitar, he cultivates a way of life where creativity meets method.
